Embossing

Embossing is a textile finishing operation by which a design is imprinted on the surface of the fabric using special engraved cylinders capable of reaching high temperatures. The effect obtained on the surface of the textile material is permanent in the case of articles composed completely or partially of man-made and synthetic fibers, but thanks to appropriate treatments, its durability can also be guaranteed on natural fibers.

This processing can also be reproduced on materials other than those generally used for textiles, such as polyethylene, polypropylene, cork, leather, and faux leather.
